Was your Offer to Purchase TL;DR?
These days we convince ourselves that taking the time to read important documents takes too much time, effort and some educating of ourselves to understand—and that “it’s a legal document, I’m sure they’ve got my best interests covered”. They may and often do not, and knowing this may save you heartache and lots of money.
Do you know what Workmanlike Manner means?
This verbiage may be in your WI Offer to Purchase:
(Workmanlike manner is defined as “the quality of work that would be done by a worker of average skill and intelligence.” Aquila, LLC v. City of Bangor, 640 F. Supp. 2d 92 (D. Me. 2009)
This statement may put you in a position of having to accept workmanship that does not meet Code (Regulatory requirements) or Manufacturer’s Specifications; i.e. substandard quality.
Can you imagine!
